"Substance of Void" T-shirt
"substance of Void" one of my oldest design and a painting that was exhibited last year. This is my first print on the t-shirt with burned-out fabric provided by my factory in Thailand.
What I love about printing this shirt is the play of the 2 colors. Some of my designs have multiple colors for the look, but the colors of this shirt really add to the meanings of the art itself.
off-registration actually gives each shirt its personality. positioning of the shirt, the silkscreen, the press all plays into parts in dictating the fate of where the colors land.

The tree of Fishes

flipping through my sketch book is a lot like a therapy session. Pieces of motifs start to mean something, these animals and characters all begin to tell their stories.
These fishes came into my mind. They might already have resided somewhere in my memories. I might have seem them years ago, in the morning market of Taiwan, or at the aquarium next to my father's house in Bangkok.
As each of our stories progress, the meanings of these characters also manifested. I'm revisiting an old friend, but at the same time just getting to know him.

One of my older sketches

I've always had a fear of cable wires. The wires behind my TV, computers, phones, speakers, internet modems... they all just tangled up behind the desk in disarray. They always find ways to tie themselves into a million more knots.
Am I so terrified by this chaos, or simply am afraid of the modern technology that they signify?
